Green Hat Consulting announces latest version of Message Tracking and Storage Tool providing Operational Benefits to all TIBCO users

LONDON – August 5th, 2004 - As part of an ongoing programme of new releases of its GH Tools suite of products, Green Hat Consulting announces the General Availability of GH Tracker v3.0. The product provides the equivalent of an aircraft’s black box flight recorder, by capturing and storing all messages published onto an organisation’s TIBCO network, or a user-configurable subset thereof.

If problems occur in production, the messages (often containing valuable business information such as orders, invoices or customer details) can safely be retrieved, restored, repaired and republished. The potential savings to clients can run into six figure sums, and more.

This latest release provides many significant enhancements, designed in response to customer feedback and to support Green Hat Consulting's forthcoming Integration Lifecycle Support Methodology. With an ever-increasing number of users of GH Tracker, the fully funded product roadmap shows a planned introduction of a range of new features and facilities that will ensure that it continues to deliver an increasing level of business benefit to our users.

To facilitate evaluation of GH Tracker, v3.0 now ships pre-configured to communicate with a built-in SQLite database. This means users can evaluate the product and the benefits it can deliver to their business without the need to install it into a production environment, or to use a more heavyweight database such as Oracle.

GH Tracker is part of a family of GH Tools from Green Hat Consulting which complement the TIBCO EAI product offerings and which enable users to fully exploit their investment in TIBCO. Users include BP, Virgin Mobile, Cendant, LogicaCMG, Powergen, Three and MENA eSolutions.

Technical Notes:
Facilities available in version 3.0 include:

  • Configurable views have been added offering a variety of ways of slicing the streams of messages. Built-in views include:
    • By subject (or subject part).
    • By tracking-id.
    • By time.
  • Users can easily view other messages that are part of the same flow using a single mouse-click; dialog boxes auto-populate in an intelligent fashion, removing the need for typing in the same information over and over again.
  • Once the rogue message has been found, the message can be edited and replayed, or saved to a file and sent to another team member for further analysis.
  • Blocks of data in the database can be frozen for ongoing analysis.
  • A variety of performance enhancements further increase the utility of the front-end in this release.
