Green Hat Consulting announces latest version of Automated Testing Tool which further streamlines TIBCO Enterprise Application Integration Projects

LONDON – August 20th, 2004 - Green Hat Consulting has furthered its fast-growing reputation for high quality TIBCO testing tools with the availability of GH Tester version 2.7.

This latest release provides many significant enhancements, designed in response to customer feedback and to support Green Hat Consulting's forthcoming EAI Testing Methodology.

Technical Notes
Facilities available in version 2.7 include:

Console window makes test results easier to see.
Documentation feature allows automatic generation of test plans from tests.
ActiveEnterprise interaction rewritten to work with version 5 of TIBCO's products, includes enhanced immunity to repository changes.
Database interactions (query, create, update, delete) can now be included in tests.
Message contents can be compared instantly with the contents of a database row.
XML documents can be validated against a schema.
Complex validation rules, including functions, can be run on fields returned by tests, and on any subject received by a subscriber.
GH Tester can be called as part of an ANT build using built-in support.
Team collaboration features have been enhanced.
Example stub adapters are included to demonstrate the use of this functionality to replace key systems.
Xpath and regular expressions can be used to process incoming information and to create a response. In this way, GH Tester helps developers and test teams simulate complex adapters in a fraction of the time it would take to develop a solution using traditional code.
External programs can be used to view and edit fields. This allows integration with third party XML editors and other similar programs. This mechanism also allows GH Tester to display serialised Java or C++ classes.
Command-line support has been enhanced to make the full functionality of tests available without the GUI.
Sub-tests allow a single test to initialise several stub adapters, start a business process or adapter and run a series of tests on it, checking and reporting on the results.
Reporting has been greatly enhanced through the use of XML and XSLT to provide a more intuitive interface into test results. Over ten predefined reports are shipped with the tool and may be customised to correlate with customers' own standards. Repository integration is easier than before. GH Tester no longer needs to modify a repository in order to use it.
